Making a house a home

January 12th, 2016

Brewers are committed to supporting community projects and were extremely proud to help Ronald McDonald House Charities over the Christmas festivities.

Brewers provided the manpower for the transformation of the charity’s Brighton House which provides free “home away from home” accommodation for families with sick children being treated at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and the Trevor Mann Baby Unit.

Team members, Brewers customers and their families from Brewers Decorator Centres in Brighton and Uckfield took time out of their festive breaks, picked up a paintbrush and re-energised the kitchen, lounge and corridors of the House with a fresh coat of paint, which was kindly donated by Crown Paints.

Ronald McDonald House Brighton has 18 en-suite bedrooms and keeps over 175 families close to their children in hospital each year, and the Brewers volunteers will return to the House in 2016 to rejuvenate the bedrooms.
